I use a heat protectant I don't remember what kind is it..but whenever I apply it on my hair it sizzles and smokes..then after styling my hair..my hair burns up and smells like a burned..I don't know like burned hair or something?!..and every time I wash my hair I lose a lot of it..and it seems dull and dead.. technically..it burned..what can I do..and what kind of heat protectant should I use??please help me!!FYI:if I didn't use that heat protectant my hair doesn't burn as much as the time when I use it!! weird !!

Do you wait a while before styling your hair? It could be because your putting too much of it and not letting it dry completely... Or you could try using another product?

Best heat protectant is CHI straightening protection. It is sold at drug stores in a red bottle.

Spray a bit in your hand and run it through your hair then wait a few minutes or blow dry your hair then it shouldn't sizzle or smoke. Usually the reason for it is that your hair is wet/damp/ greasy.

The heat protectabt is just reacting to the heat, don't worry about it. and maybe you should turn the heat down a little

Thank you all but I do let it dry and I'm not putting too much.. I don't know what's wrong..may be I should use another heat protectant!!
