It depends on your face and stuff plus if you use it got a certin time it won't kill it (time depends on how dark the hair is)

I went from black to light brown you have to bleach first and you'll have to do the roots when they show depends on your hair growth it was painful for me my hair grows fast and black roots doesn't look good with light brown or blonde so I went for a darker reddish brown so I don't have to do the roots as much as I did before its a long process and could be damaging but if you really want it and you don't mind doing the roots I say you go for it and make sure a professional does it for you

So not worth it. I loved my black hair but trying to get rid of it made me regret every little bit of it. Took me so long to get rid of it but I also had it black for a year and a half but now that I went back blonde my hair is damaged from trying to get rid of it.

Make sure you use hair masks and so on before you do it. GET A HAIRDRESSER TO DO IT FOR YOU. Yes it can be pricey, but they won't wreck your hair.

I've lightened my hair from black to blonde twice now. My hair lifts very easily, (I'm a natural blonde with thin hair) and isn't that damaged after. The first time I lightened my hair it took several sessions because I went from black to bleach blonde. The second time it only took one session because I went to my natural colour (you can see in my profile picture)

It takes time, money, and you have to take care of your hair. If you live somewhere with hairdressing students you can get a deal there. They aren't as fast, but they can do a good job.

My sister is a hairdresser so she was always watching my hair when I went black to blonde. But yeah I got the colour I wanted :)
