Bleaching is like using bleach you can end up with any kind of blonde but it depends on what color you had before and how long you leave it in

If you want a specific blonde then you can bleach your hair on the lighter side and then put the honey blonde dye in your hair after. At the hair salon, this particular hair color would take a lot of mixing and bleaching and high tech, hair science stuff. I'm going to assume you are box coloring. Also, if you are dark at the moment, I wouldn't bleach your hair completely blonde. Generally you always want to stay in the same color range (if you are dark brown, stay with dark brown/medium brown shades with the option to add highlights and lowlights) otherwise it can really damage your hair (which I'm sure you are aware of) The less you have to process your hair, the better off it will be. Damaged hair will of course break easily, frizz easier, grow slower and the more damaged your hair is, the less its going to be able to hold your color in. but incase I just completely danced around your original question and you were still wanting that answered, bleaching is like bleaching clothes. You bleach your whites to pull up stains and make them whiter, ergo, it lifts the color and/or lightens it and dying your hair generally means that it is adding a dye/staining your hair a specific color; basically putting the color down. Dying CAN still mean bleaching though. A lot of dyes have a bleaching aid in them. :)

Bleaching takes all the healthiness, protein, and color out.
