I've wanted to do this for a while and just haven't had the nerve. I'm not sure what I would do while it was growing back out?
Any tips or ideas?

I had an undercut for over a year and it was hell trying to grow it out and making my hair even again. I love under cuts, I think you should, but be aware that if you want to grow even hair again it will be a long process and you might have to cut it short. like pixie short. but with how long your hair is, you could easily flip your hair over for awhile if you get tired of the undercut.

I had an undercut for a while and LOVED IT. I finally grew it out to match my layers, but I say go for it. Carpe Diem, right? :)

But if it feels like to big of a commitment you could always pin a chunk back and bobby pin it under a layer of hair. :)

Do it! I toyed with the idea for a year before getting it and I'm so glad I did. I love that hairstyle! I think you should go for it. Hair always grows back. :)
