I think its good to get some kind of makeup classes. Cause your right people do look at that and even mac will ask if you have had any experience, jobs and school related. I think its a good idea to see if you can sign up for even a community college course on it.

Honestly, I've read about so many people becoming big in the make up industry just from starting work at counters like Sephora. I think if you work at sephora hard enough and show them you are passionate about your work and good at it you may be able to do well in the industry. Make up classes certainly wouldn't hurt though.
