Always trimming dead ends is good for your hair. If you have long hair then invest in a nourishing conditioner and moisturise the length of your hair. Also use products that protect hair from heat. The picture is of my heat protector I got from my drugstore at 99p! Next time you have your hair done ask for layers to give your hair a lift.

Stay away from heat on your hair, it might be burning strands one by one but you can't notice it. Also, don't use any chemicals on your hair for now, it might be weighing down all your hair. Use dove products, or anything organic in the shower for now. When you get out of the shower, towel dry your hair and finger comb it. When you brush or comb your hair while its wet, your tugging on strands, so when they dry, those strands will fall out. Don't apply any oils to the roots, this might be affecting your hair from root to tip. So if you have any specific oils you apply to moisturize your hair, apply it the ends, and not at all at the roots.

My hair is very oily natural mostly on the scalp/root part and the end look dull and dry and I almost never use heat bc it naturally really straight.

Then yeah, I recommend you use simple shampoos and conditioners on your hair, and not high end ones like John Frieda or CHI etc. Products like Head and Shoulders or Dove are really simple and won't weigh down your hair with harsh chemicals.

The drugstore brands are just a short term fix. They have silicones and other things that coat the hair making it soft but most of them are way off of the ph level of your hair. Professional products (I recommend CHI) are ph balanced with your hair which is one of the most important things. Drugstore brands have a higher ph and its almost equivalent to coloring your hair everyday and ends up with damage. But coconut oil is a great organic fix

I Use this daily and I usually straighten my hair daily. If you don't have much money I would get a trim and take a break from doing anything with it, but new hairstyles are fun 💕
