Leggings are leggings. Not an excuse for pants in my book. I prefer the long tunic over the leggings look. Jeans if you wanna wear a normal shirt.

I agree with @Beauty P. You can wear them which ever way you like. I wear them as pants with tops other than tunics and I get complimented on the outfit.

Leggings are actually a good wardrobe staple, I see absolutely nothing wrong with them as long as you wear them with the right stuff. Tegan is right, they're pretty much like skinny jeans. I wear my leggings with a sweater and combat boots and I love it. :)

It depends on how you style it. if you dress it for your body type and it's not see through I don't see an issue with it. and even if they were that sheer it's none of my business.

Yes. I have this argument with my friends almost daily. my side is that you buy them in the pants section and they fit like skinny jeans, just not denim.

Except they're not like skinny jeans, they're like tights. Would you wear tights as pants? I think the reason people dislike this clothing choice with your arse hanging out is it leaves NOTHING to the imagination. Not many people have the butt to pull this off and not look like an idiot.

I wear them as pants XD Leggings aren't for everyone the reason I wear leggings is because it shapes my butt more and I get a lot of compliments On my shapely thighs and butt ( I have a big booty) But it's not for everybody, I've seen some girls at my school, Who wear leggings and they don't really have a good body shape for it.

Lol, leggings are so not pants. They are just like tights- thick cotton, polyester and elastine footless, I absolutely hate it when I'm walking behind a girl and I can see not only every contour of her butt but I can also see her underwear through the leggings! its just not tasteful. And when I see little 12 year old girls wearing nothing but leggings and a tiny crop top thing.. they just look like they forget to put the rest of thier clothing on!!
don't get me wrong I do think leggings can be worn well, I just think a lot of girls don't. If your going to wear them as pants make sure they're actually thick enough not to show of your knickers and wear them tastefully, leave at least something to the imagination!

I think that as long as they don't uhm, outline, your hoochie; youre fine. its all how you style them. I prefer jeans because there's more style opurtunity.

I wear leggings all the time, but I always wear them UNDER something, I make sure that my booty is always covered. The only leggings I wear as pants are fleece leggings (like sweatpant material) in the winter time - and that's my bumming-it weekend wear.

But leggings arent just for them big booty girls(: I have a small roundish but and I get compliments on how it looks in leggings a lot too even though my thighs are like sticks (: and even thicker girls, you can definitely pull them off too (:
