My hair is naturally brown, but I bleached it blonde then went purple for a while. I didnt use a lot of chemicals for a while, then I got sick of havig bad roots so I box colored my hair back brown. My hair is very dry from how I used to always straighten it and from the chemicals I have used on it; so I havent straightened it since I dyed it brown, and I normally end up putting it up. When I take my hair down, it ends up feeling damaged and even more dry, why is this and how can I help it?

When I got a trim, my hairdresser told me to apply oil to my ends when my hair is wet, instead of putting it up maybe braid it instead. I have had this problem, I'm not sure what causes it though, my apologies (:

I suggest going to a hairdresser right away. Then starting over and buying certain products like Herbal Essences or Moroccan oil to specifically stop that next turn

I can't do braids and stuff (decided to get layers one day, the guy cut them WAYY too short-.-) I can't go see a hairdresser, and start over how? I'm not shaving my head xD I use argan oil (one of the main ingredients in more moroccan oils have over 45% argan). do you guys have any tips of what I could do with my bangs if I just leave it down? they're the only bad part about not straigtening. they curl more than my longer hair and don't fall correctly. sorry if it sounds like I'm just shooting down the replies you gave me, I should have been more specific with my question.
