So lately when I wear make-up and try to take pics.. I get this white powdery mask on a lot of the photos... I look like a ghost and it totally damages the photos.. Any of you know why this happens?? Is it the foundation I'm wearing?? Do I need to add something else?? Are all these products that say photo finish for that purpose or what?? Thank you in advanced ladies and sorry for so many questions lol.

Hey! It's probably because of the foundation you're using unless you're putting a powder on top, which foundation are you using?
How do you apply it and plus it might be too light for you

Does it have SPF? That usually is what causes the ghost effect in pictures.

I'm using the L'oreal True Match in beige nude... Ugh I've been thinking just going to MAC and getting a foundation from them... Hopes are dying on lower end products :(

Yup Nicole, it has SPF 17... I never knew that causes it..

Yeah Nicole is right but your foundation is always supposed to have SPF if not then your moisturizer go with Mac face and body it's a light feeling foundation.

Yeah I didn't either, but honestly it doesn't mean you shouldn't necessarily use it. I have two different foundations I use. One for everyday use that has SPF, and then one for nights I go hang out with friends without SPF. So yeah, just use maybe a couple different kinds depending on what you're doing :) hope this helped <3.

Yes it did!! What foundations do you use?

If your foundation includes titanium dioxide (some type of sunscreen) then you should just use it for daily use. But if you know you'll be in flash photography then you should go with a photo-ready foundation such as makeup forever's HD foundation. :) If you use a setting powder that might be the problem too. Mac's MSFN is photo-ready. :)

I actually use loreal true match as well and also covergirl nature luxe. (That one doesn't have SPF I don't think but I pair it with moisturizer that has sun screen) so yeah I switch off between those two during the day because they are more light and not super full coverage and then when I'm going out at night, I really like loreal magic smooth suffle foundation. I love that stuff. It has kind of a silicone feel to it once you apply it, but the thing I love about it, is it photographs beautifully. I always get compliments when unit wear it. I love it. If you have super oily skin though I wouldn't recommend it. It's more for normal/dry skin in my opinion.

@jacqueline thank you!! I'm deff going to check those out... I'm so tired of defeating the purpose of doing good makeup...

@Nicole I have normal skin too soo I shouldn't have a problem plus I only wear makeup on nights I'm going out or a special event...

Two other makeup artist answered on another post asking the same question their names are Jordan & Jacqueline, they said which I agree it has nothing to do with the SPF.If your able to find it they explain everything on that feed,I myself can't explain the way they both where able to so you would be able to understand,so I would read the explanation they posted.  :-)
