I'm not sure if it reliable, but for this I used two ponytails and when I run none of it comes lose but it requires hairspray. But any kind of feedback to make it better would work(:

I love it! If you are running and you don't want your hair to fall out, put your hair in a sock bun, (best when wet) and pin the sides a little and finish with spray. This works great for me in track and PE!!
