I would use a lot more eyeliner and line the inner part of the eye too make it more striking but it's cool for a change I worked at sephora for a long time and I loved being creative and wearing different looks all the time:)

Yellow/gold should be more for someone with a naturally darker complexion.

Do a black and yellow/gold smokey eye to go with. Wear foundation, with blush, bronzer, and highlighter. (You don't have to do all, choose any combination of the blush, bronzer, & highlighter you choose.) Do a light pink lip color. I love that mascara though!

I say a soft brown smokey eye and a thin line of eyeliner, and mascara on both lashes will look so good! And a bold lip color<3

Don't think so... if you want go bold... do smoky eyes. vamp it up or something... throw away the gold mascara.

How about putting on regular black mascara and then brushing the gold just onto the ends of your lashes for a pop of sparkle? :)

Don't do that for work. Colored eyeshadow is fine. Not colored lashes. Sephora still needs employees to look presentable.

I don't really know what Sephora is like because I'm from England but those saying its too much for work I would say that at Sephora it's fine to wear something striking. I'm not sure if the gold is right for your skin tone though. I do agree that for something like this you need more makeup in general. A more full coverage foundation and either a dark smokey eye or bold cat eye liner with some colour in the crease. Definitely line the water line too and I think what Lily B said about using black but then adding colour on the tips of the lashes would look really nice. I'd maybe go for a different colour than gold on you though. Maybe purple or something. But the gold may work if you had more makeup on the rest of your face, it's difficult to tell without seeing it. 10 points for being creative and trying something different though! It gets tiring seeing the same old thing all the time. How many times can you tell someone that their mascara and clear lipgloss looks fine lol x
