Lol I think it was an article I read on here that said its fine to do powder first because like Niki said it will give it a dewy finish rather than matte :)

I've heard of doing powder first then foundation for that dewy look. I prefer a more matte finish.

You can use a light dusting of loose powder to help absorb oil and then foundation

Actually, it's supposed to be a "lightly milled loose powder under light coverage foundation or tinted moisturizer." That will give you an airbrushed look :) I'm trying that today! Here's the article for reference:

I usually put a little bit of powder on my t-zone, then foundation and then put powder on all over. it helps my foundation last longer and so I don't have a shiny t-zone at the end of the day :-)
