CC Cream? Opinions

Hey everybody!
In several english/american blogs I have read about the CC Cream. The thing is I live in Switzerland and were mostly the last to have the "new thing". So I really don't know much about it and am asking myself if it is necessary? And what is it actually? Can you use it with your bb cream?

CC is the new BB, basically. I have one by juice beauty. it's like a nice tinted moisturizer. Doesn't offer much coverage. Love mine though.

CC cream is a step up from BB cream; it replaces the BB. I freakin LOVE my Smashbox CC cream!
