I recently got acrylic nails done and I am unhappy with the shape the woman made them. I was wondering how damaging they are to your real nails so I could decide whether to just deal with the shape or go get new ones done the way I really want them. :)

There not that bad for your nails, as long as you soak them off properly and don't bite them off. I get my nails done all the time!! And my real ones look & feel fine! Defiantly do not bit them off as it takes loads of layers of your nails off and leaves them very weak, thin a sensitive!

Having a salon take them off and put new ones on would significantly thin your nails. I LOVED having acrylic nails but two of my real nails got ripped off because of them (two different times) and it took about four months for them to grow back which was a huge pain. I would wait for them to grow out and then get them filled and have someone fix them.
