How To Keep Red Hair From Fading?

Red hair is a pain in the ass to keep it bright. I would recommend that you wash your hair with cold water and use a shampoo for red hair. What also helps is to get a color refreshment every now and then. Loreal has some nice tubes that you can mix with a hair mask or water to add some more color. I can't remember the name of it right now, but I have some at home in purple. Good luck!

I have had red hair for a month and it has barely faded, I wash my hair twice a week and use dry shampoo in between. I suggest going to Sallys Beauty Supply and buying the quantum red shampoo and also the roux color refresh mask in fire red!! This combo has been awesome (:

Well I have bright red hair! Mainly just wash it 2 -3 times a week! Dry shampoo is a must also color depositing shampoo / conditioner. I personally couldn't find any so I just added 2 tablespoons to my conditioner it keeps it refreshed :) an use cold water even though its miserable.

Yes and I leave it on for 5 minutes or as long as possible it works and I wouldn't suggest purple shampoo... It's for blonde hair not red use a red shampoo
