I love this look and I really want to try it. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to start? Also, could you give some specific colour recommendations?

I think that you could start from the inside.. I'm not sure, you should try it out, then you can see where you have to do better etc..

Thank you! Yes it does look like there's some purple. The black eye shadow seems intimidating, I don't know how to start with it.

I say star with the black...since its pretty intense. I like the UD pencil in perversion. You'll be able to draw the exaggerated wing...I would say a bit smaller than what you want, and smudge so you get the shape and lines you want.fill in the rest of the "triangle" on the outside with the pencil, and set with a matte black eyeshadow...again, I would turn to UD in blackout (I don't think they make perversion anymore). Take the eyeshadow and apply lightly over the outer third of the lid (think the space the whites take up before the iris...while you're looking straight), then blend it inwards. use a shimmery or sparkly white (not too sure of a color, I think Sephora has a color called Alpine Snow)...something not too too opaque, and place it on the areas with no eyeshadow yet. you might have to Ho back with the black where the two colors meet to get the right effect. Place some of the white color on the inner corners, and use the black to line your bottom lashes (I'm assuming). I would say use a liquid liner for the top lashes...follow the shape you created, but not all the way to the end. To highlight the brow bone, stick with a matte skin tone color, even using your face powder/powder foundation would work too.

Be sure to define bows and use lots of mascara (or even false lashes)!

If you go with purple...make sure it's matte so it contrasts with the white...pencil eyeliner wise, I would use UD rockstar...I love UD!! Don't know many other brands of pencils!

Thank you so much Sara that was very helpful! And I love UD as well, I think I have some of their colours that would go perfectly for this look.

Hi Shauna,

Here's what I would do to mimic this look:

(Face)
Use a Matte foundation such as Make Up For Ever's Face and Body Liquid Makeup with a mattifying finishing Powder such as Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder.

I can't tell if she's used anything to contour as it may just be a shadow in the photo but use a light matte contouring bronzer such as Too Faced Milk Chocolate Bronzer.

(Eyes)
Start with a primer (a half of a pea sized amount for both eyes). I really like Too Faced Shadow Insurance: http://www.beautylish.com/s/too-faced-shadow-insurance

Next, apply a base coat of matte shadow all over the lid (on this particular model I would recommend Inglot #313 Matte.

Next, using a dense shadow brush, apply the white shimmer shadow all over the lid up to where your crease starts. You can feel your crease as the hollow area between your eyeball and your brow bone. Sometimes it helps to apply a matte shadow one shade darker into your crease after you apply your base as a guide. It doesn't have to be clean as you're going to be doing a lot of blending with the black. I suggest Inglot #496 Double Sparkle.

Next, using an Angled Liner Brush, sweep a highly pigmented matte black shadow along the lash line (Inglot #391 Matte) and upwards towards the brow as if you were creating a winged liner look. Continue with the same liner brush upwards into the crease of the eye applying it quite heavy (you will be blending this out. It should essentially at this point look like a highly pigmented "<" at the edge of your eye going into the crease.

Taking a Crease Brush, blend the black further into the crease and blend the outer corner of the eyelid. Using this same brush, sweep outwards connecting the "<" you've created with your liner brush.

Clean up any harsh lines with a good fluffy Blending Brush and apply quite a few coats of mascara (I like Too Faced's Lash Injection - creates the look of false lashes by extending them for more volume and length) http://www.beautylish.com/s/too-faced-lash-injection-mascara

For the Brows it appears she has used both pencil to define and powder to soften. Try Too Faced's Brow Envy or Benefit Brow Zings.

(Lips)
Use a high pigmented gloss in a nude shade that fits your skintone. For this model I recommend Armour Gloss in Edie. OCC Lip Tars are also really great for this opaque sheen. http://www.beautylish.com/s/armour-beauty-lip-gloss-edie

I didn't provide a link to each Inglot shadow mentioned but you can find them on our palette builder:

I hope that helps! You'll have to share your finished dupe look :)

I think the purple may be a opalescent hue from the shimmer but that's just my take - If you do implement purple definitely go with Sara's hint :)
