I have been wearing make up since I was about 14 and I am now 18 and I still cannont find a decent foundation. I need a medium to high coverage matte foundation that will stay on for atleast 8hrs. I always get a problem with my makeup not taking to my t-zone area.. it just seems to not go on there! I hate the heavy makeup look but I like to be covered.. any ideas?

this is me with no makeup..

Its not so much the colour that I'm struggling with, more the coverage and how long it stays on but thank you :)

Walmart, target, cvs and Walgreens has the cover girl 3 in 1 and by way it is amazing!

Since you have oily skin, you should go with something matte and make sure you use a primer and powder to set the foundation- also you can use a makeup setting spray to lock in your makeup like hairspray does..a good one is model in a bottle make up setting spray. For foundation, if I were you I would try maybeline's dream matte mousse- stays on all day, makes your skin absolutely flawless and the coverage is buildable! Also a good primer for you would be from NYX shine killer- it's just a mattifying primer, or you can try milk of magnesia (look up youtube videos for how to apply/use this- but this works good for certain spots or all over your face to mattifying your complexion and hold your makeup on all day long), also you should try monistat's chafing relief powder gel, (I use this as my primer, it's the same ingredients as smashbox's photo finish primer- and it seriously works soo good it's moisturizing because it's a serum gel but it minimizes pores and makes your foundation flawless). Also another really good foundation that will make your skin completely matte and stay on allll day (but you have to set this with a powder or it will take a minute to set on your skin) it's NYX stay matte not flat foundation, also you can try some of these mac products if you're looking for something more high end:
MAC mattifying cream primer: http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/793/343/Matt/index.tmpl
Mac studio fluid fix- this is a full coverage foundation with a completely matte finish, and you can set it with mac's studio fix powder plus foundation this will give you a little bit more shine controll/protection and coverage, and since your skin is so light I would try the nc 15-20 range but you can get color matched at mac when you go into the store, this foundation is a little more pricey but mac products are well worth it! here's the link: http://www.maccosmetics.com/products/spp/shaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT158&PRODUCT_ID=PROD1231&SKU_ID=SKU4930
here's another full coverage matte foundaiton, but the coverage is a little bit lighter than the others before, but this one is still good, you can try them all out there and pick which one you like the best:
http://www.maccosmetics.com/products/spp/shaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT158&PRODUCT_ID=PROD394&SKU_ID=SKU10329
and lastly, I would deff say you should invest in Mac's fix plus spray, this is a finishing spray, as well as a primer, moisturizer, and you can spray it on your brushes before applying shadow to make them brighter, or mix them together with powders/pigments to make liquid products. This stuff is seriously amazing. and if you don't want to commit to the bigger bottle, buy the trial size botle for $10 and test it out, but this to me is a must have! It's so versatile! :) http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/177/388/Fix/index.tmpl?cm_mmc=Google-_-ENG_ENG%7cVanity%7cBrand%20Product%7cExact%7cPC-_-Skincare%7cSkincare%7cX%7cFix%20%2b%7cSprays%7cSPP%7cOK-_-mac%20fix%20plus
Also because you have oily skin naturaly you can also use oil based cleansers (like mac's cleanse off oil in tranquil, to remove makeup and moisturize) and apply oil to your face everynight (like argan oil, bio oil, etc) will actually help your skin to reduce the production of it's own natural oils because it's getting it from somewhere else. It will probably take your skin a week or so to get used to reducing your oil production, but this will work so you have to be patient. Hope this helps love! xo
