I get my hair done with heat every month, but when I'm not getting it done professionally I do it myself with no heat. Does anyone know a good hair grease/gel that will keep my hair shiny? It always looks dry.

Moisturize your hair and seal it with a good oil, trust me, you will notice the difference! I'm transitioning right now and before I got my kinky twists I got in the habit of putting some type of moisturizer in my hair then sealing it with oil. Putting just oil in your hair will make it shiny, but that's about it. It's a sealant so it traps the moisture in and if you put in on dry hair well, you're not doing anything to help yourself in the long run.

I'm natural and to keep my hair shiny I do exactly what Erin said, I've tried shine oil and it works but doesn't really last long...

The oil and seal technique keeps hair hydrated and the oil gives it shine. ^_^

Ditto. I mix my oils. So I use coconut, black castor, jojoba, and grapeseed.

Pure whipped shea butter with a fixed oil works great too!! Natural hair rocks!!

That doesn't sound like a bad idea. I've got like two pounds of raw shea butter sitting around anway.
