I start my freshman year this week and I really want to be organized all year long. I'm usually very good at keeping all my things together but this year I want to try something new but still be organized. What are your tips for organising your binders, lockers, backpacks, and desks?

I have A, B days so I either have a 1 inch binder for each class or 2 3 inch binders I have a locker but they are really small!! I'm bringing a backpack and purse ill leave my tote in my locker and put the stuff I need for the day in my purse

For binders I get each one a different color and right the name of the class on the side so when I get one from my locker I can just grab it and go and make sure your tabs are labeled and the papers are where they need to be. Our lockers were fairly big compared to other schools but make sure you don't leave trash or balled up pieces of paper in there. In middle school I used keep my gum in my locker and I would leave the wrappers in there and it looked really unorganized so just make sure there is no trash and I always had this storage box that had a magnet on the back and I kept tampons, liners, gum, and extra makeup like a powder compact and oil blotting paper is a life saver if you live where it is hot or have oily skin like me. I have plain black Jansport backpack and I just kept my binders in it and my pencil/pen bag in it and in the little pockets I had a pack of gum, a mirror compact, post-it notes and extra pens and I also had tiny bag that had an emergency period kit inside because you just never know when it could happen and it's better to be prepared. Our school had desks with baskets up under for storage so I don't think I'm much help there but just wipe off your desk if it's dirty and check the seats before you sit because you don't want to sit in gum or paint or something that could stain your pants. I have a desk at home in my room and I just have little organizer bins and put things that are similar together and keep trash away from it. I also labeled my drawers and did a weekly clean-out. Just a few miscellaneous tips are try to keep a small hairbrush somewhere like your locker in case it's windy or hair tangles easy. I always liked to keep an extra pair of underwear or pants in my locker in case mine got a visible stain. Planners are a great help to keep you organized. I used mine to write down homework down and keeps a big notebook for notes in case you can use them on a test. I know it seems like a lot but don't stress or worry about it.

Carry a small bookbag to each class with supplies/essentials you may need. Keep either a notebook and folder for each class or a small binder works really well: you can put a folder inside for homework and handouts and keep loose leaf paper with dividers for homework and notes.
