Hey ladies so I'm planning on dying my hair a brighter red/plum but I want it to be really noticeable. My hair has been dyed before and right now its a really deep brown almost black. I don't have the money to get it done professionally now, what brands/techniques/tips do you all have for doing it at home? Thanks :)

Garnier Nutrisse has a line of dyes made specifically for dark hair. I had black hair and I used a red from this line and it came out really vibrant and red.

Bleach your hair first to an orange. the dyes won't work on prev colored hair. tint can't lift tint. then pick the tone and level red you want. manic panic is great but fades uber fast.
