It will probably be a weird orange color if you don't bleach.

You are stunning and I love your hair color now! :) But if you want to go blonde, you should bleach to make sure it doesn't turn into a weird blonde. But(just me blurting out thoughts :3) if you want to see what it might look like without bleaching, you could try Henna :) its a completely natural way of coloring your hair, its kinda like a coloring shampoo. It washes out of your hair after a little while (averaged around a couple months) and your natural hair color will return :) Just a thought! :)

Just get blonde highlights instead I think it would look better than going all the way.

If you don't want to bleach you'll have to dye it about two times. I suggest with ash blonde hair dye! So it won't turn out brassy and orange.(:

You would need to bleach it. which would turn it orange initially anyway. you can't go straight from red/Brown/black died hair instantly, it takes progress unfortunately :(

Melissa - You will NEED bleach. Yes ash cancels out orange but the very well known proven fact that tint doesn't lift tint still persists. You can not lift that color with haircolor, especially if you've colored your hair. I am a hairdresser. If you use professional haircolor with 40 volume developer you can achieve blonde if it is your natural haircolor and your hair isn't resistant. I've seen it done and personally I was not satisfied with the results even then.
