Question about getting highlights...

I am really wanting to get highlights and change my base color, but I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on it. Would I be fine to just do an all over base color myself at home and get highlights in a salon? This is the color I am wanting.

Going to the salon can just be so expensive!

From the pictures you've posted, you could probably do the base color yourself as it's not really too much different from your natural color and just do the highlights in the salon. Just make sure to let your stylist know that you've dyed your hair that color at home so they can be aware.
