Color won't lift color - if you want in vibrant, you'd have to lighten it first. I always suggest doing that in a salon.

^^^ Shelby is right. I just did that exact process recently. They will bleach out wherever you want the purple. Mine was peek a boo purple underneath. PRAVANA is the best for vibrant colors...ask your stylist if she has it- I'm sure she will. I used PRAVANA purple

My hair is brown I never dye my hair before but I wanted to have some purple so I bought this product "hair highlighter" Google it just like that, and the first product that came out in the pics; it a gold color in the tap.. that way you don't have to bleach you hair.. it looks really bright, I'm.really happy whit this, and you find.it in a beauty supply store... hop I help ;)

I use Punky Color over my 3V permanent color to kick up the purple tones. It doesn't look true purple in general, but in the sunlight it really kicks.
