Water based or oil based foundation. Which tends to be better, coverage wise? Does it even matter?

I've seen good coverage foundations from both bases actually.. I think that the coverage is more related to the quality of the foundation and not the base.

Agree with Albina! But if you have dry/normal skin then use oil based foundation.
If you have oily skin, use water based foundation.
Then here's a technique: instead of blending the foundation in circular motions, just pat it in. This will give you more coverage.
Ps: beauty blender is a waterbased sponge, so don't use it with waterbased foundations because it will make your coverage kinda fade away!
