Try Argan oil to smooth any frays, plus it adds shine (not that you need it) and decreases poofiness :)

I got it at Claire's! I think it was $7 of so. :) Sadly, it fell out in the hallway at school yesterday, so I have to go get a new one!

Also, do you have a lot of natural wave to your hair when you're scrunching or..?

I put It's a 10 and Argan oil on the ends before it dries. When I'm about to straighten, I use Tressume heat protectant, and then Garnier hairspray. :)

Hmm.. That might help. I'm also going to try blow drying it with a defuser. Thank you!

Definitely try a smoothing balm when hair is towel dried, that will help calm down some of the "poof". Another option would be an anti humidity spray. Big Sexy makes one, I'm too tired to think of the exact same but it's a small bottle with black sprayer on it. It's not a hairspray, but does provide some hold as its sole purpose is to prevent recurling/frizzing from humidity.
As for help scrunching, if you don't want to braid it or anything when wet you've got a couple options.
* try drying your hair with an old tshirt, some very fluffy towels can disrupt natural wave patterns while a thinner cotton material will help preserve the pattern while still removing moisture.
* use a diffuser attachment if you've got one, I recommend waiting until hair is 40% dry, use diffuser until hair is about 90% dry. I'm saying this under the assumption that your hair frizzes kind of easily.
* don't comb it. Or brush. Nothing, if you're not already. Use your fingers to detangle and distribute product, everytime you run a comb through without having a very strong curl pattern you take a little bit away.
