They make them weak and your nail can break off. but if don't like your natural nail then get them.

My aunt had to stop she would always get them though and it ended up ruining her nails and causing her an infection or something like that! Anyways she takes tons of vitamins and what not and now they are as long as the acrylics where!

Its not the acrylic that weakens yr nail. Its how they are taken off. Some places file and buff too much which thins the nail plate. It's the removal that messes them up!

I used to wear them and it took for what seemed like forever for them to just stop bending and chipping! Eeek. Plus I was always paranoid about jamming my fingers and ripping off my real nails. :/
