Is vitamin C or E oil better as an anti ageing serum?

Both vitamin c and e are great partnered together. I couldn't take one without the other and most anti-aging serums will contain both.

Shelley, I'm looking at buying a pure oil to use, would you recommend me using a mixed serum instead?

It is best to buy a stabilized form of vitamin c in serum form if it is not stabilized it looses all its potency once the air hits it an c an e work together to fight free radical damage

I agree with Traci about the Skinceuticals C E Ferulic. I used that serum for a time (had to stop because it was breaking me out) but my mother-in-law uses it and her skin is prime for sun spots as she is super fair skinned and so far it has been fading a few of them over the past year. Another good serum that is great (but quite pricey) is Sunday Riley Juno Transformation Lipid Serum. Its a dry oil that contains vitamin c, essential amino acids, Omega-3,6 & 9 and a few other goodies. I reach for that from time to time and it doesn't cause issues for my oily/combo skin. I would highly advise getting samples first because both lines are not cheap. The Sunday Riley can be found at Barneys and if you contact their counter directly and a request sample they will definitely send it out for you. Skinceuticals can be found at most dermo offices and Bluemercury.
