Gel Polish Grow Out Help!

So I got a fab gel manicure 2 weeks ago. it still looks fresh apart from the growth at the cuticle. I don't want to go get them soaked off because it can be damaging to the nail and my tech roughed up my nail bed prior to application to make the gel adhere - which worked - but this would make my nails super porous underneath.

I want to grow the gel out and was hoping you ladies had some nice cover up ideas. thanks!

Have you got a similar nail varnish colour to paint the ends with? That might work :)
