It will fall off and grow back, its Common when that happens, you can go to see a doctor but most likely explain the same but go to give you peace of mind.

My big toenail fell off once because of hitting it on something. It will just fall off and grow back. It's nothing serious. I was embarrassed about it and painted the skin like a toe nail.. Lol butt no one ever noticed and since yours is a small toe and not a big one no one will notice. Just let it fall off naturally and grow back.

No I hate doctors I don't think Its that seriius medically wise uts not infected ir hurts its more cosmetic I'm worried about...any at home or salon quick fix?

O you poor girl I felt your pain rt whn I saw the pic.I think ul b fine the nail might nt grow bk the same but you could al c the Dr to make sure you dnt have infection.maybe you could try to clean it out put anti bracterical cream on it.maybe wear open toe shoes for a while

So sorry that happened to you but there's nothing you can do about it. There prob a new one growing underneath it. Just let it fall off and don't put polish on the new one until it grown in good.

Thanxs Chelsey& Maxine...lol I will definitely paint over it when it falls. It nasty tho just hanging from the side I'm going to put a clear bandage to hold it for now otherwise its going to hurt if it rips off if I hit it.

The nail just needs to come the rest of the way off, I lost my big toe nail and it just cam off all at once. It was really tender but then this really thin nail formed and it was a lot better.

I ripped off my whole big toe go see if it infected then leave it bandage it keep it clean the new nail will push the old nail off do not rip it off you can permanent damage your nail

Ouch! It'll heal on its own, but if it turns red or blue around the edges and/or swell up, you need to see a doctor ASAP. Keep it clean and maybe wash it with something antiseptic.

I'm a pointe dancer and this happens some times just clip of what you can without it bleeding then quickly put a band-aid on it will eventually fall off.

I smashed my fingernail about 4 years ago and it fell off. but when it did half the nail was already grown back. now its just shaped kinda weird but I'm cool with it.
