I do sew in and bonded weaves an glue in weaves do not last as long you can not really wash them without the tracks slipping but if u want somthing to wear for like 2 weeks its ok you can't really reuse the hair either an if done wrong you can pull your hair out.

Is glueing much different than say keratin tipped extensions that are geared and removed using acetone?

If you do glue them in, pleaseeeeee use the glue remover to properly take the tracks out or you'll end up ripping your own hair out. Glue in is okay if you're doing it for a short amount of time. Washing your hair with the glue will make the glue less sticky & your tracks will become loose. I would suggest keeping the clip ins or go somewhere where they can sew in a few tracks for you. It's much better on your hair, stays in longer & you can wash your hair without worrying about your tracks slipping.

My roots got way too oily even with washing that the glue just couldn't hold up for longer than a week. If it's short term, it would be okay, I think, but it really was not attractive after a week, but this was 10 years ago. If I had to do it again, I would use dry shampoo to keep it refreshed.

I'm a cosmetologist. While I was still in school I did them on my best friend after she severely damaged her hair with bleach and we had to cut it all off. I put them in so well that they actually looked real and like she had a full head of long hair even though her hair was really 4 inches long or less. Everything was fine until she tried to take them out. It was awful. She had the glue all over my shower and it just came out off in clumps of glue that looked disgusting. She got all the extensions out but no matter what we did we couldn't get all the glue out of her hair until like a month later. I do not recommend. And definitely don't try putting them in yourself.

I use to glue extensions in my hair in high school it was horrible until I learned how to do it right. Don't use tones of glue and I find after taking them out to put conditioner on the parts with with glue in the shower and let it soke then use a wide comb to get the glue out but be careful not to snap your real hair. I wouldn't suggest doing it all the time. Personally if I was going to get them in again I would just do clip but whatever floats your boat!
