I have very fine hair that is easily damaged by using heated stylers or even some products. My hair is a few inches past my shoulders and is fairly straight with some curly bits at the ends and around my face. As a change from always having my hair natural I was wondering if there are any ways to straighten my hair naturally or any non-harsh products that would do the same thing. Thanks guys!

This method works best if you have long hair without too short layers

It takes about 20 minutes so you need patience and it takes 2 hours before you can put it up, but it's worth it :)

YOU WILL NEED:
• a fan
•hair gel/putty ( i recommend garnier fibre gum fructis style )
• wide tooth comb
• a paddle brush

METHOD:
• start with clean and very conditioned hair
• comb out with wide toothed comb while hairs still wet
• apply hair gel/ putty on top and sides (scalp area until about halfway down)
• comb out with wide toothed comb
• then brush with paddle brush
• section hair above ears and clip back TIGHTLY in a half up half down style
• bring hair to one side and brush out
• bring the fan about 12 inches from hair and turn on full power
• aim fan towards lower ends of hair, we will work our way up
• fan still blowing, slowly and gently brush hair slowly and continuously from inside. This ensures smooth, straight hair
• oh, and try not to let your hair blow everywhere, try keeping it to one side, this requires a lot of patience but it's worth it
• alternate which side your hair is on until dry
• don't forget you have to be brushing hair from inside throughout all these steps
• when dry, unclip your hair and bring hair to one side, still brushing continuously although from the outside now
• keep it all to one side, if you let your hair blow around it will get frizzy and dull
• carry on until now most of your hair is dry
• turn around, keep hair to one side, but let the back of your hair face the fan and dry
• once the back of your hair is dry, flip hair upside down and run fingers and brush through your hair to get rid of any extra moisture
• make sure your hair is at LEAST 98% dry
• keep your hair down for at least 2 hours or you might get a DENT!!

Hope this helped :) x

you can buy straightening treatments for your hair but they only last for about three days. you can also buy heat protectant spray & then just use a flat iron its a LOT less damaging
