Hey beauties! So lately I've been wanting to wear foundation and stuff but its soo overwhelming to someone who knows absolutely nothing about it. So many colors and types and brands lol ahhh I don't know where to begin! I want something light and nothing crazy expensive cause I'm not sure if I'm going to like wearing it I just wanna try it out.

I think you should start with a BB creme :) it's easy, light cover and cheap :)

Go to Mac...find your colour...because aint nothing worse than wearing the wrong colour.
Then determine what kind of skin you have e.g oily or dry...because then you will know what type you need e.g powder or liquid
You then need the right tool to apply your foundation...my go to tool is a stippling brush, best for the flawless look.
Hope that helped x

I'm new to foundation , just started a week ago. When in to shepora and got make up forever hd starter kit. I must say I love it. Except for the setting powder it's a little drying. But the variety of shades are amazing.

Jasmine - me 2, I heard both good and bad, but I decided to try it out. I haven't used foundation in several years, and I really don't want to, that's why I didn't wanna use BB creme in the beginning. But a month or so back I was buying a bunch of make up and dicided to get a BB creme as well since it was cheap and then I could throw it out if I didn't like it! But I LOVE it!! My skin looks flawless and not at all like I'm wearing make up!

Don't Use Mac As A Regular Foundation Daily Routine! Mac Foundations Are More For Photographing Not Daily Wear Because It Is A Little Heavy On The Skin. I'm Saying This Cuz Of Personal Experience And Makeup Professionals Have Said It Themselves. Definitely Try Out Starter Kits. Usually Setting Powders Aren't So Great If You Have Darker Skin Tone It'll Make You Look Flushed! Lol Good Luck Finding The Right Foundation! :)

Alyma is great as a liquid foundation, Physicians formula has a great face kit that comes with powder foundation blush and setting powder!

You could always go to somewhere like Sephora or Ulta and get matched to different brands and ask for samples of them, that way you can get use to using them, and make sure you like them over time and figure out which you like best. Things to consider are what kind of coverage do you want/need? Do you want a liquid or powder (if fuller coverage liquids are better)? What kind of finish do you want (matte, luminescent, etc). Figure out what you think you'll prefer and when you go in tell the ladies at the store what you are wanting and they can help. That is my best recommendation.

Thank Brittany I think that's what I'll do. I always go in sephora but never ask lol I don't know why though! And Laura yeah I've noticed that on a few people that I know who wear Mac it's a bit much for my taste but some people like that. And being mixed is the hard part cause in the winter I'm so pale it's crazy most people can't even tell I'm half black lol so I'm just going to go to the pros tomorrow and get matched and get samples lol. Thank you all for your helpful advice I appreciate it. : )
