I don't have this problem, but I heard about using a cloth dipped in cold water and placing it on the back of your neck.. for makeup, the best solution is using a green base that you put on red areas and then you can continue with your normal makeup routine, hope this helps.

A green base is a green cream that has a concealer texture, and it has the job of neutralise red areas, I don't know any brand to give you since I've never used one, I only had a green pencil once for pimples and spots), but you can ask in stores and proffesionals will help you.

Use a light foundation/bb cream/tinted moisturizer just to even out your skin tone. :)
