I want to purchase a straightening comb to straighten my hair and my 8 yr old daughter's. Any suggestions on which brand is the best and how often do you use it? I'm interested in the electric kind.
Thanks!

Anything that has ceramic coating. Like the CHI flat irons. But don't you think your daughter is too young to have so much heat to her hair? I didn't start using one till I was 15. Well, I guess you just have to be more careful with anything that could have long term damage. Good luck!

Babliss is the best straightener. I've had mine for years and works good as new.

I use chi or conair on my hair :) and it's pretty thick and corse. I also have processed hair so in order to get it silky stright I have to put on really high heat which can be damaging. So try to avoid putting heat to the hair as much as possible.
