My school is having a 60s day dress up, and I don't want to dress up full on so I was think ing
of going in black leggings, a bright jumper or sweater, cause its winter over here ;) and maybe tie a poke-a-dot ribbon around my pony tail. What do you guys think? If you have any ideas, I'm all open ;)

Hey I had the same thing, its was a history project. but part of my grade was how I looked, so I went crazy lol. I recommend round john lennon glasses! teachers loved them. I looked like this lol.

@Freya, you look amazing, its just that I'm daring as you. So there is no chance I'll be dressing up like you ;), and my mum would blow it, if I dressed up like that. Hehehe;)

Try colorblocking with a diy pair of glasses to add your own unique touch, cuz the 60s were all about colorblocking. You can jus hang them off your collar since you'll be inside :)

And try wearing a sweater or jacket with a pattern too...and the polka dot ribbon sounds perfect! :)

Leggings in the 60s? That is not decade appropriate at all. People didnt wear leggings in the 60s at everyday clothes. You're better off doing a polka dot dress (with a trench coat or lights underneath since its winter and a red lip.

Long circle skirt. Also, google "rockabilly" and "pin up girls" then you will know what I'm talking about.
