I'm going to a metal/rock concert in Sunday that my boyfriends band is opening for and I need something really cute to wear along with hair and makeup. I'm open to any suggestions but the top has to be long sleeve. Thanks :)

I would do a pair of black hughwasted shorts and a red or black sleeveless band tee that could be tucked in the front, and studded oxford flats. (not like a nirvana tee or pearl jam or some dumb band like that..make it more metal. miss may I has some pretty gnarly shirts..try hot topic :)..)

I would be more concerned with mosh pits/walls of death if I were you. so not wear heels.

Concerts outfit should be kept comfy because you may need to stand the whole time so wear comfy shoes and if its an open ground then stick to shorts or pants as there will be lot of pushing around avoid dandling stuff, spikes you might hurt someone. also keep the makeup minimal as you will sweat.

(posted too soon) or dresses. prepare to be sweaty so set that make up girl. I mean you can still look cute but if your going to be in the crowd I'd be prepared. I suggest shorts and a band t with vans/converse.

Keep it simple, seriously, way too many girls get way over dressed for shows, especially these kinds. Save the more nice/fancy stuff for the orchestra. a pair of shorts/jeans, a simple shirt (I usually wear band tees), and comfortable shoes. You said it's your boyfriends band playing and you look young, so I am guessing small venue, meaning not a lot of room, you can try to stand in the back but will more than likely end up in the crowd area, so do not wear dangly earrings, and no necklaces unless good strong thick ones. Hair, I'd wear it down or in a ponytail (maybe something else simple)? Makeup, go minimal. Like I said, you will most likely end up in the crowd getting gross and sweaty, and most small venues don't have a/c or heat. I have never understood girls that come into the venue (I worked at one until recently) dressed up, don't be that girl. You can be super simple and still cute.

Thanks guys :) it's not my first concert so I know no heels or overdressing :P my boyfriend won't let me go near a pit because he says I'm "delicate" haha so he protects me. I love Laura's suggestion but I need long sleeves :(

If you want to get in the pit get in, he can't tell you what to do, or stop you. My ex hated when I would do it at certain shows because he didn't want me to get hurt, but he knew I liked it. And at smaller shows sometimes it just happens, even if you don't want to.

I'm fine with him protecting me. He doesn't control me.
