How long after dying can you wash your hair?

I usually wait until the next day but my hair smells really strong of the chemicals and its giving me a head ache. I dyed it around noon today when can I wash it?

I don't there's anything wrong with washing it, just remember the more you wash the more the color will fade so try using a color protecting shampoo.

When I dye mine. I wash it right after I rinse the dye out. But I use color protecting shampoo.

You're supposed to wait as long as you can. 2 days is great, 3 days is amazing but by then I'm all oily so I just wait 2 days and use dry shampoo. Also pulling your hair into a ponytail or wearing a bandana should help reduce the smell.

I usually just rinse put my hair afterwards and use Ions color seal confotioner afterwards and usually wash my hair every other day...

You can wash it whenever. If you're worried about fading use cool water and sulfate free shampoo.
