Are henna tattoos waterproof?
Also, how long do you leave the paste on your skin for longer lasting results?
Thank you for your comments! =)

Yes. It stains your skin. It goes away in a few days. I just leave the paste on til it dries and it comes off in chunks.

I'm not sure if they're waterproof but you could leave it on for a couple hours and that should help to make it last a bit longer.

Henna tattoos normally last for 60 days, but they will definitely fade within a few days.

It depends on where and how you apply it. To make the stain from the henna come out darker keep the blood circulation warm on where you applied it.
The darker the henna is, the longer it will stay. I usually leave he henna paste on for 2-3 hours and the stain comes out pretty dark and stays for about a week.

And after you rub off the dried henna paste ti see the stain, it's better not to use water to wash the remainder of the dried henna. Use water in the stain after a hour of rubbing it off

Ok I do henna tattoos regularly so ik you should leave it on the longer the better you can dab sugar water or olive oil on it for better results and they last pretty long depending on how long you left it to dry and they only lose their color because of consistent washing so I wouldn't say they are completely water proof bit they stay on for a pretty long time for me also if it's on your palm the results will be better because of Beyer blood flow in your arms.

Definitely try to leave it on as long as possible. I keep mine on overnight and put some disposable gloves on while I sleep so it doesn't make a mess after it dries. Regardless of where you have applied your henna, heat is really helpful in making it come out dark. If applied on hands I usually just put my hands above my stove for a few minutes (obviously not too close that I burn myself). When you do take it off, just scrape it don't apply any water to that area. If some of it isn't coming off just let it be, it'll come off. The more water you apply to that area the faster your henna will fade away.

Yes, it is waterproof, it is a stain. Depending on your skin color, how long you leave it on (I always left until it flaked off or became too itchy from the dryness), how much you wash your hands, and sun exposure will determine how long it lasts. Salt water also takes it away faster.

I left it on for like 6 hours then washed it off. I've had mine for a week and it's fading but not that much. You can put vaseline or chap stick on it before you get it wet to help it last longer.

You don't have to go through 4-5 hours. Lol. Leave the henna on until it dry and then rub the dry part with lemon. It will give you nicer colour and last longer. Do not wash with water because it will shorten the life of the colour on your hand.
