Can someone, anyone, please share any tips on controlling and minimizing oily skin? I have been struggling to find a product that works besides blotting papers. I feel like I have to blot every hour or two and it's such a burden!

Definitely start with a moisturizer for oily skin. Cetaphil or Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. Next, find a foundation & powder that works for you! I feel your pain, because I have realllly oily skin. It's mainly trial and error. I'm currently trying out the Clinique Moisturizing Gel & the Clinique Stay Matte Foundation. It's working pretty well, but I still have to blot. Just keep trying new products & new combinations! I also found that NOT wearing a primer helps A LOT. Best of luck!

I have incredibly oily skin, and what I found to work best is to skip moisturizing and use a mattifing primer followed by mattifing foundation and set with mattifing powder. You'll have to find the brands you like best, especially for the primer because the wrong one will make you more oily even if it's marked as "mattifing". Also, before discovering this I had to blot every 1-2hrs. Now I blot every 4hrs, and carry a compact mattifing powder to apply right after. (And I just realized it's mattifying not mattifing, sorry)

Don't wash your face with too hot of water and moisturize!

I think my clarisonic has helped a lot as far as reducing oil production. however the olay brush is a great and much cheaper alternative you should look into both and find out what's best for you
find a gel cleanser since they are best for oily skin. as a toner, I use witch hazel and apple cider vinegar mixed together. individually they are both great for reducing oil. also you could add a few drops of tea tree oil. It's really drying but also great for your skin-- especially if youre prone to break outs. then follow with a lightweight moisturizer. do not skip that step and read the ingredients to every product to avoid harsh chemicals. I also recommend using a clay mask a few times a week. I don't want to recommend any brands without knowing if you have sensitive skin or what your budget is though.
if you want to know what I use:
cleanser: I just bought one with vitamin c from avalon and so far so good. I used to use say yes to tomatoes but I like to switch my cleansers up
moisturizer: first aid beauty cream. It's actually for dry skin but doesn't feel greasy at all and is surprisingly lightweight. I also use it because I use benzoyl peroxide to prevent and treat breakouts. benzoyl peroxide has also helped my oiliness but I woukdnt recommend it unless you actually break out. I use coconut oil at night which is amazing
masque: peter Thomas roth sulfur mask and queen helene clay kask (which also has sulfur). they are both amazinggggg and queen helene is a cheap alternative :)

you just have to find a skin regimen that works for you! in the end if you have oily skin, these products will help minimize it for as long as possible but youll prob still have to blot because you can't just stop your oil production altogether. you just won't get as oily and have to blot just not as frequently. hope some of this helped though!! :)
