OK ladies. I've always wanted to have white hair, and I've been pretty damn close to it for a good couple of years. But I'm tired of just being sorta white I want white hair. I've been using wella white lady (now called t18) and to me it just doesn't seem to satisfy me anymore, and I'm thinking of trying a new toner. Any suggestions?

Have you gone to a salon about it?? I feel the same as you do.. But when I tell my stylist she refuses to do it bc of the damage it can cause. If you figure out a solution let me know!

Yea I have. I've been doing hair for 5 years so I know the process and the damage. I'm like one shade away. I have some damage from a previous process. But its growing out.

I currently have a purple shampoo and conditioner I use as often as possible.

I'm thinking I should just use a higher developer, I'm thinking 30. Cause I'm too scared to use 40. I refuse to have my hair be fried again.

Well the conditioner I use is blue based. I used the Loreal and I didn't really like it. I think I should just use 30 on my roots when I do a touch up. Cause t18 isn't bad it works very well, I was just looking for something stronger.

Ok thanks, I was just wondering if it'll go with my skin tone... I had never asked my stylist about it because I think she would've looked at me weird. Thanks Chica;)
& yes she does!

If anything Joyce start with highlights and see how you like it, and if you do add more or just go balls out blonde.

I use 30 volume with matrix light master. 2oz developer to 1scoop for on scalp. then tone with matrix 10v color sync.

Most recent with my little lady.

I like to keep my hair at more of a grey or violet tone by using the violet toners, so I would definitely listen to Velen since she's got the white toning process &bleaching down to a science! I will say that the last time I went from red to blonde (in hopes of achieving either a grey or white color in the first salon visit), I could only tone my hair to platinum and I was so frustrated! Once I lightened my entire head of hair a shade or so, it made a world of difference! I was so frustrated since I assumed my hair was light enough, but even when I used toners and toning shampoos, it seemed like my hair was *almost* white, but each time, it slightly missed the mark. The first blonde color I had appeared to be super light, but it just wasn't. When I went in to the salon to lighten my entire hair, we just did a single process with 20 volume developer and that was enough to bring my hair down to a light enough shade. I'm no professional by any means, but I have had some variation of platinum, white, or grey for the better part of 10+ years, so I have definitely been through the frustration of trial and error =/
Just by lightening it ever so slightly, it went from the blonde on the left to the blonde on the right with the same shampoos and toning processes.
