Yes you can hun I do think you can use lip liner an maybe use dark brown or black liner ontop near your lash line an a bit more mascara with a nude lip your eyes need to stand out a lot.

Your gut instinct is right; this color is far too pale for you. That's why you look ashy and bit peaked. Your natural lip color is lovely. You need to look for a "nude" lip color that is more pinky-brown neutral than pale. As you try out this look a lipstick with a sheerer formulation will help you ease into the trend with a bit more forgiveness than an opaque formula would.
