Hi! I have my first high school dance performance at a football game and need ideas for hair or makeup! Please help! :) thanks!

Well I would follow and rules or colors your school have that you have to use. A sleek bun Is always professional and good at keeping hair out of your face. For makeup you need to exaggerate everything so your face doesn't look washed out. Use neutral colors on the lid and a dark brown in the crease. A winged liner and medium blown lined lower lash should be pretty standard. A bright lip color If required or a natural one if that's your style

I think a hump with braided sides into a high pony is really cute.

Or a Dutch braid into a ponytail. You can so a high pony if you want

I like the hair chalk idea. It will look unique and different. If you don't want your hair down then definently the sleek ponytail with the hump :)
