So, I told my friend that she wear way too much makeup.
And she got mad of course but I was just trying to help.
Am I a bad friend?

No, I let my bffs tell me cuz I know they want what's best for me and dony want me looking like a clown lol
but everyone definition of "too much make up" varies, did you say it in a constructive critisim way?

I used to put way too much on b the dark circles under my eyes but I soon realized its almost impossible to cover it up using tons of makeup! It just looked worse- people would make comment saying my makeup was too dark and that's when I actually noticed how bad it was- I was actually glad people told me but everyone take it their own way!

I don't think your a bad friend, thats not for me to judge. I just feel she may have been offended by the comment. I would talk to her and apoligize. Sometimes there's comments that are better if we keep to ourselves. Good luck! (:

I don't think you're a bad friend because you did it with good intentions! But I personally don't think there's such thing as "too much" makeup. Sure, there's the appropriate amount for each occasion but everyone is different. I think you should try and talk to her and instead of pointing out what you don't like help her make it better. Like, if you think she looks orange tell her she needs to get a different brand of foundation because hers is oxidizing etc

Not at all, I would always want my friends to tell me if I looked bad, so then they could help me fix it! You did the right thing, and you were being a good friend. Maybe try helping her soften her look and not put on so much makeup :)
