Being fair skinned, I'm also pretty careful with color choices I make. Some colors I just really don't feel I can pull off and do the color justice. Thats just me personally, I can't speak for all fair skinned people. I do know what you mean though about darker skinned women. It seems like the undertones of their skin tones just work well with a good variety of colors.

I agree with Aleighnna though.. I think you'd look awesome with that color!

I completely know what you mean! I think my problem with colors has more to do with the color of my freckles more than my actual skin tone, but I hear ya girl! But I also agree, Aleighnna can wear absolutely anything.. Shes gorgeous!

The only make up I struggle to pull off as a paley is black eyeliner. Without fail I look like a hot mess. In the reverse, I find bright colors are pretty easy to pull off, I truly think it's all about the confidence. Anneth, you should post a pic, I bet it looks lovely on you!

I agree, Stacy! Black eyeliner does nothing for me except make my eyes look really small. I'll sometimes smudge some eyeshadow on if I want a smoky look like I did in my profile pic, but I really don't think it does anything for me.

Velen brown liner is wonderful! I also find dark purples work well, and I can smudge darker colors, but black as a shadow/liquid/cream/pencil isn't pretty. I'd rather wear hot pink liner anyway.

I think it can look good on anyone but bright colors are very striking on darked skin to me. but it depends on the individual. she prob just wanted to make a sale but thats a pretty offensive racial remark... itd may be different if she said fair if she meant skin tone.

They ( make Up professional) always say wear this for your skin tone, wear this for your eye color etc.,but if you like it and you look in The mirror and think its beautiful then do it. Your The one that is spending money so buy something you like and your going to wear.

Velen- I haven't heard, or read, anyone mention prestige liners yet! they are freaking crazy awesome. super pigmented, extremely long lasting, and very creamy. although, the creamy part challenges you to find the best way to put it on. I have a blue one that I mainly use on my water line. it ends up perfect flush against the tippy top (root) of the lashes. it lasts all day. I mean all damn day. I work in a sweaty hot kitchen and it lasts through the heat and humidity..not to mention me crying over onions!

I think if you wear it with confidence you can pull off any color.

I think some colors suit different skin tones better. But I agree people can chose what colors they want to wear.

I have to put my two cents in about the prestige liners... I have a liquid copper colored one... It's really old and I haven't used it in a long time. I used it yesterday on my niece and it looked amazing. I had to double check the brand bc I'm like wait, this liner is awesome, who makes this?? Bc I actually forgot haha.
