Well it took me a while to grow my hair because of all the layering, thinning and cutting I would have done to it. But after not using heating tools, and talking care of my hair, it grew past my back. Just take care and get trims. Don't wash your hair everyday, don't use hair tools without heat protector, buy hair masks or make one yourself , don't brush your hair with anything except a wide tooth comb after washing it, and don't put it up in a pony tail or bun all the time, the pressure isn't good for your hair. Hope this helps and just give it some time. :)

Don't use unnecessary heat, and only comb the hair, don't brush it cuz it can break more easily that way. if you wanna try products, literally the Paul Mitchell super skinny serum is amazing it will make your hair SO healthy. it is pricey but it's completely worth it.

I use Nioxin shampoo & conditioner. I get mine from Cosmo Prof which is for cosmotologist only & I have my hair dresser get me it.. it is on the pricier side but if specifically for hair that is fine, it has made mine really thick within only 2 months of using it! I've also seen Nioxin in stores such as Tj Max & Marshall's for cheaper. I swear by it! There's 4 or 5 different levels to buy.. 5 being the most fine hair. I use level 4!
also what everyone else says about limiting the heat you apply to your hair :)
once I get out of the shower & am shampooed & conditioned, I apply "It's a 10" spray to help detangle before combing through, then I comb it out start from the bottom right, then I apply a pearl amount of Moroccan oil! my hair is extremely healthy & has been since I've done all of these steps!
