red hair fades super fast! when you dye it you should avoid washing it daily and buy a shampoo that deposits red =]

It really all depends on the dye. You'll want to try Special Effects dye as it works really well but as that goes out of stock pretty fast, you may also want to try Manic Panic or Raw. It's best to use dye for color treated hair as it'll help it last longer and try not to wash it everyday.
Also, because your hair already has red pigment, that may help it stay as there really isn't very much for it to fade out to.
Good luck!

I have coloured my hair like that and yes it fades super quick, however like sana said its already got red pigment so it should help.
When you colour your hair like that I recommend that you deep condition it a few days prior to colouring (ive heard it helps), colour it the day after you wash it, use shampoo for colour treated hair. Also the sun can fade your hair as well so definitely use a heat protectant spray. I would also use some after colour treatment on your hair so that it will lock in your colour :) hope it helps

I used to dye my hair red a lot. I found that using the Wella coloring line worked well. The red lasted a long time. It did fade somewhat, but every time I was ready to get color I still got compliments on my hair color. It always surprised me. Hope this helps :)

I've coloured my hair red several times and I got it to stay in longer by washing my hair in cold water every other day and putting Manic Panic into my conditioner. I use Manic Panic in Vampire red on my dark brown hair and, without bleaching, it gave it a surprising amount of colour. Definitely recommend Manic Panic! :D

Keep your gorgeous natural hair!!! It's rare- why would you want to ruin it??? It wont grow back the same after you dye it.

I dyed my hair from Blonde (and i have always been blonde) to the bright red, Even if you get some Red Henna that will be healthy and add colour to your hair that will be subtle so you can tell if you like it or not, Or you could do a washout? x

if you hair has reddish tones naturally it should not be the problem because even when it fades it will not be much noticeable...i had red hair and i loved it :)
