It would look nice but it would require bleach to get your desired color. The damage the bleach will do to your hair won't be worth it.

Your black hair is beautiful but I totally understand being bored with black hair...thats the story of my life haha I would do a medium brown with honey highlights (done the right way!!) If highlights arent your thing then definitly a warm honey color would look lovely and open up your facial features more

You have curly hair so it's dryer hair than straight hair. if you're going to bleach, your hair is going to damage. safest thing is to start get lighter color with highlights. that's how you see what your hair says about bleaching. safest way is to go hairdresses, not to bleach yourself, coz hairdresser don't make too strong bleaching and from store bought bleach is way too strong stuff

It would be a nightmare to get it to your desired colour! Maybe some blonde chunks in the front to make it a bit more interesting if you're bored? Or maybe some ombré :)
