It is a smokey eye though. Incase you were unaware when it starts out lighter and goes darker it is a smokey eye.

Listen I don't want you to dislike me or anything, but if you ask any makeup artist yes, this is a smokey eye. A smokey eye is the transition from dark to light. The base to all smokey eyes is a smudge shadow on the lash line. That is not just black eyeshadow, it IS a black smokey eye. I didn't mean to offend you in any way, your look is indeed very pretty, I just said it wasn't smokey.
