I use individual ladies from ardell & if you apply them to the outer parts of your lashline it gives them a Beautiful flared look, but still natural :)

It's very important to get a quality lash glue. I like Revlon's Lash Adhesive ($8). For beginners, get one with a clear finish so it's easier to tell when it's dried.
Start by applying a thin layer of glue on the lashband. The Revlon lash glue has a brush tip applicator so it's easy to just paint some on.
Let it get tacky. Wait about 30sec-1 min. It's so important to let it get sticky or they'll slide around the lid.
Push on the lashes starting at the inner corner. Press them on as close to the real lashes as possible, NOT on top of them. Start bending the falsies to match the shape of your eye. Press as you go. Readjust as necessary. Keep gentle and still.
Good luck!

I have done the strips for evening but you know what? Those individual Ardells add a lot of thickness and look great, too. You don't have to wear too much mascara then and it looks feathery...
