I'm on the look for a primer that will keep me matte all day without having to touch up a heck of a lot like I'm having to at the moment.

Well I have ccombination oily. I use porefessional by benefit, then revlon colorstay for oily skin, then a powder. powder is the key to not looking shiny. don't think you need a primer. maybe just for your fojndation to stay- just like what I use it for.

I use Revlon Colorstay too! It isn't that great for my skin... Which sucks. I'll check out porefessional though.

@ Emily, Where do you get milk of magnesia? :)

Kendra, I'll look it up. I don't think I can get in the drug store because I live in the UK.

Milk of magnesia is amazing! I have super oily skin & it really helps to keep me more matte throughout the day. On extra hot days or when I notice more oilyness I touch up with mac refined zone treatment, it instantly mattifies me without having to layer powder which can look really gross over the oil on skin!

You can get it at any drugstore in the medicine section! I apply it either with a cotton ball all over my t-zone, or with my fingers. It sometimes dries like dried toothpaste, but just rub it with with fingers gently and it'll disappear right away!

Use it as a primer, by the way :)

Yes yes yes for milk of magnesia! It will absolutely change your makeup life haha. I have really oily skin and when I use milk of magnesia as a primer, it keeps me matte all day so I don't even use powder! Ahh! Amazing.

I don't use primer I use aloe Vera gel, it's so good for oily to combination skin and acts as a mouisterizer aswell (BONUS) and its around £6 in England and $8 dollars in New York. For foundation I use mac prolong foundation. It stays so well and lasts all day with a medium/full coverage. If your looking for drugstore I would go for the maybelline fit me foundation. It's got a good colour range and is super good I would say its light/medium coverage but it is thick so it does cover up blemishes. Good luck x
